Investment Analyst – Credit

A Dubai-based alternative investor is looking to hire a Investment Analyst to join its growing Credit platform. The firm invests across high-growth markets in South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, with a focus on private credit.
Role Overview:
The Credit Analyst plays a central role in evaluating and executing credit opportunities, supporting origination efforts, managing portfolio performance, and contributing to credit committee materials and reporting. This is a hands-on role suited for individuals who bring strong analytical capabilities, financial modelling expertise, and a sound understanding of credit risk in emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead due diligence, structuring, and execution of new transactions
- Build and analyse financial models to assess creditworthiness of prospective counterparties
- Conduct market research, industry benchmarking, and peer analysis
- Assist with the preparation and review of investment memos and valuation materials
- Monitor ongoing performance of portfolio companies, including covenant tracking and early warning indicators
- Support origination activities, particularly in Africa, by identifying and evaluating new credit opportunities
- Participate in credit committee processes and investor reporting
- Serve as a secondary relationship point with clients alongside senior leadership
Candidate Profile:
- 3–6 years of experience in Leveraged Finance (preferred), Project Finance, Corporate/Commercial banking or Credit risk
- Proven ability to build and interpret complex financial models
- Exposure to emerging markets and comfort navigating diverse regional dynamics
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
- Additional qualifications such as CFA are a plus
