Ascent Search is partnering with a mid-market private equity fund which invests across sectors. Applying an active value creation approach to high-potential opportunities in areas such as Consumer, Services, Healthcare, Education, and Tech within the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar, this dynamic firm is seeking a Vice President in the Investment team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in deal execution, commercial and financial acumen, and leadership to support the firm’s growth.

Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with the fund’s strategy.
• Lead due diligence, financial modeling, and risk analysis for potential deals.
• Execute transactions, negotiate terms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Drive value creation and operational improvements for portfolio companies.
• Contribute to strategy development and investor relations, including fundraising.
• Mentor junior team members and support exit strategies like IPOs and M&A.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree holder in business management, finance, economics, or equivalent from a top tier, internationally recognized university.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in progressively senior roles within Private Equity, Investment Banking, Big4 M&A, Corporate Development, etc.

At least 3 of which should be in Private Equity (preferably 5 years’)

• Proficient with valuations, comps, etc.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, CapitalIQ etc.
• Knowhow or strong interest in working in the GCC/MENA region.
