Ascent Search is currently seeking a Private Equity VP/Principal for Consumer investments for a global investment firm. This opportunity is ideal for a senior investment professional with a proven track record in direct investments, ideally within the Consumer sector in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Originate direct investment opportunities with a primary emphasis on the European market.
• Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, financial modeling, and deal structuring for high-growth consumer investments.
• Oversee the execution of transactions, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external advisors.
• Proactively manage and optimize the consumer investment portfolio, delivering strategic guidance to portfolio companies to maximize value creation.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement initiatives to drive sustainable value enhancement.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including other private equity firms, institutional investors, and sector leaders.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends and growth drivers within the consumer sector.
• Lead thematic research initiatives focused on emerging consumer sectors and evolving investment themes.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative culture and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a top-tier institution.
• At least 10 years’ of progressive experience in direct investments or private equity, preferably with notable deals in the Consumer sector.
• Proven track record of success in deal origination, execution, and portfolio management.
• Exceptional analytical and financial modeling capabilities, meticulous attention to detail and ability to independently manage complex workflows.
• Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, ability to collaborate and influence amongst a diverse group of stakeholders.
