A Single Family Office based in Dubai is recruiting a Finance Manager to oversee the finance & reporting functions for a global, diversified portfolio.
The family office invests across asset classes with a long-term investment horizon.
This is not an investment position, though it sits alongside professional investment staff and involves regular interaction with the family.
The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with fund finance experience, and will have gained at least a couple of years working in a Family Office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with the CEO to define financial objectives and strategic goals, maintaining detailed review of company fundamentals and financial statements to inform investment decisions.
- Independently managing comprehensive accounting responsibilities, overseeing portfolio activities, and ensuring accuracy in reporting and financial integrity.
- Establish reporting, monitoring, systems that adheres to the standard operating procedure and financial integrity.
- Coordinating with fund managers and other parties as required providing accounting specific support and analysis.
- Conducting comprehensive research on prospective investment ideas and prepare presentations, pitch books and investment notes.
- Preliminary legwork for potential deals. Writing investment research reports, communicating investment ideas, and responding to requests for ad-hoc analytical precedents and recommendations.
- Submitting detailed financial reports through MIS, supporting treasury activities, and maintaining communication with relevant parties for accounting-related support and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Holder of a CA qualification.
- Finance experience within an Investment Fund.
- Proven experience in the family office space, with a strong background in financial analysis and investment management.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and reporting tools.
